Dorimar treaded along the path before him, worn into the thick grass by years of use among adventurers and scouts alike. He wiped the sweat off his forehead with the bit of cloth from his sleeve, protruding from under his wristguard. He picked up his pace once again, his lockes of hair bouncing upon his forhead and neck, already soaked thus far from his travels.

He glanced behind his right shoulder, watching the Telonese sun setting behind the tall mountains, basking the clouds and sky with a reddish haze. He couldn't pause to admire the beauty of the sunset, as he set his eyes straight once again, catching a glimpse of the bloodied parchment in the same hand he used to wipe his brow, and glancing around with urgency. He closed his eyes briefly, thinking to himself as he hurried his pace further.
"I can not falter," he muttered under his breath. He was well aware of what was to come, he had already noticed the stirring inside the forests ... the voices carrying in the winds. He shivered slightly but regained his composure, not letting his fears get the best of him. "Their sacrifices will not be in vain!" he grunted.
Dorimar approached the city walls, slowing slightly to a halt, his eyes widening as a feeling of dread overcame him, gazing over the torches outside the walls. "They're already here ..." he stammered, his eyes saddening. "I have failed," his eyes watering slightly at his seeming defeat, his head bowed. He stared back up at the hordes of goblins, cascading upon the city, hoping to lay siege upon this major city ... waves of grunts and cries echoing along the walls.
But before he could shed a single tear, he noticed a glimmer in the sky ... a white light, sparkling as it grew, seeming to be sinking from the sky. It grew it size, gaining a bluish haze around it as picked up speed. He gazed in marvel as it finally crashed into a batallion of goblins, knocking many in its area of impact to the ground, killing many.
Hope was kindled in Dorimar, as he slinked along the city wall towards the entrance to the city. As he drew closer, he could hear the shouting of people defending the city, orders being barked, instructions relayed, acknowledgments ringing through the wings.
He glanced across the archers on the wall, raining arrows down on the enemy hordes, groups attacking with grace and precision, following every command of their group leaders, with a little bit of clever improvisation on their own parts. Brighter balls of light, varying in assorted colors, blazed across the sky, falling upon the enemy without mercy, daggers digging deep into the green flesh of the goblins, blades striking blades.
'This is definately a guild,' thought Dorimar, as the precision and unity of their defense and attacks amazed him, catching glimpses of a common insignia graced across parts of their armor or robes. He glazed across the battlefield, catching a view of the leader, conveying his instructions and tactical plans while swinging his swords with precisive skill at the marching enemies, his officers acknowledging and passing down the orders.
Dorimar drew his sword and charged to assist in the defense, inspired by the united defense. Suddenly, an arrow whizzed by his right ear, grazing his hair. He spun around, startled, as he saw a goblin fall over, an arrow piercing his brow between his eyes as he spun right back towards the source. He stared, openmouthed at the elf, already drawing another arrow out of his quiver as he turned, but not before grinning at Dorimar, then shooting down another goblin with relative ease.
A little shaken, but not broken, Dorimar joined in on the fight, helping as he could as the defense broke through the attacking hordes and chasing off the remaining goblins. The city was safe. Dorimar stared back at the city, watching the healers mend the wounded as the defenders filed into the city.

Dorimar was filled with awe, but hung his head in perceived shame. This guild succeeded where he had failed. He then felt a hand on his shoulder as he looked at the person beside him. It was the guild's leader.
"Why do you hang your head? You should be rejoicing in this victory," he said, with a look of confusion on his face.
"I failed in my duty to warn the city about the attack," said Dorimar, in a defeated tone.
The leader chuckled and patted Dorimar's back. "You didn't fail. One of our scouts noticed you in the forests, realizing your urgency, and catching a glimpse of that parchment you possess. He was able to reach us and surmise some activity from the mountains. You've done well, you have a bright future ahead!" The leader smiled at Dorimar, and walked off to a large building, following the last of his guild inside. Dorimar looked up and smiled ... he did fulfill his purpose in a way.
Dorimar approached the guild hall, noticing a plaque of sorts hung outside the entrance, it read as follows:
Skill, Honor, Selflessness, Unity. No single entity is greater than the whole. We are the Harmonium

History of Harmonium
The Harmonium was formed as a guild on the Povar server soon after the release of EverQuest. We met with immediate success, having a virtual monopoly on whatever raid content we chose for many, many months.
When the Povar server split, we moved as a guild to the newly created Xev server where we continued to fill the spot of the primary raiding guild. Throughout Kunark, Velious, Luclin, Planes of Power, and Gates of Discord we battled the denizins of Norrath.
For a brief time, The Harmonium also formed on the Palomides server in Dark Age of Camelot as a Hibernian guild. This, however, was short lived, as the game didn't hold as much interest, especially given the lack of content available in Hibernia in the early months of the game.
During the Omens of War expansion in EverQuest, however, interest in that game waned for many members of the Harmonium. While the guild wasn't disbanded on Xev, we did formally cease organized activities in EverQuest.
Since that time, Xev has ceased to exist. The majority of the Harmonium members who still had active EverQuest accounts /movelogged their characters to Povar where the guild tag still exists, though not as an organized raiding force.
